Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Hoddesdon to start in September 2023. The position is in a Year 3 class supporting 2 children with mild SEND needs. The role is full time to ensure consisitency for the children, and is temporary posiiton with the view to becoming permanent. 

This role is at a mainstream one-form entry school, which is part of an academy trust, continues to be rated "GOOD" by OFSTED. The school offers a well-rounded curriculum for their students enabling each student to develop to the best of their ability, both within their studies and as an individual.

Role:

• Able to provide support to the students you are wrking with
• Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
• Ability to support student and encourage their progression
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Requirements:

• Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children is essential
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
• Previous SEND experience
