VB.NET Developer £55,000

Pearson Carter are currently working with a renowned software house within the travel industry   who are looking for a VB.NET Developer due to their sustained growth. The role is onsite 5 days per week (location Slough) with flexibility for hybrid style after 3 months, once familiarised with the company, it’s processes and systems. After an initial migration project, they will be looking to implement various new technologies, so it is a perfect time to join their team.

They offer an excellent salary of up £55k depending on experience + excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

With rapid adaptation & understanding of existing applications and technical environment, gain in-depth technical knowledge of systems.

Work with internal and sub-contractor teams to ensure clear communication of technical issues.

Investigate and manage technical issues accurately.

Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security, and scalability.

Participate in software development lifecycle activities to deliver and validate new features and fixes according to required timescales and risks.

Experience

3+ years of experience in technical roles within software development organisations

High standard of programming in .net development technologies, using vb.net

Solid understanding of IIS, ASP, Webservices, XML, XSLT, JSON, with a willingness to pick up and learn new languages and technologies as needed.

Solid experience in consuming external webservices/APIs

Solid experience in building and deploying large scale secure RESTful APIs

Salary

Depending on experience they are offering up to £55,000 with many benefits including paid certifications and bonuses.

Location

My client is located in Slough UK. This is an on-site role (5 days per week) With flexibility offered after 3 months.
