This is an exciting fully remote role, working with a leading UK data and cloud consultancy in which you as a Data Governance Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, security, and proper utilization of our organization's data assets. Your expertise in data management and governance practices will contribute to maintaining high data quality standards, compliance with regulations, and the overall success of data-driven initiatives.
  Role Profile   •Strong track record in working closely with business stakeholders
•Undertake analysis to support scoping of data governance initiatives
•Lead teams of business and technology teams to achieve governance of Key Data Elements
•Utilising effectively the navigation features in Informatica Axon to guide users through a compelling metadata-driven governance use case/initiative
•A background in delivering data initiatives in Agile tooling (Eg Azure DevOps, Jira)
•Confident communicator with experience in working closely with stakeholders of all levels
•Creating a compelling business case leading to senior sponsorship at senior manager level for Data Management improvements which can deliver the performance benefits of being truly data driven.

Experience   •An understanding of general and industry specific legislation and regulation that impacts the use and governance of data including but not limited to GDPR, Competition Law, Business Separation
•Understands the fundamentals of data and analytics processes and procedures
•Up to date knowledge of latest governance and catalogue tooling features and functionality
•A strong understanding of complex data lineage in databases, schemas, tables, columns
•Knowledge of how data is modelled in 3rd normal form, data vault and dimensional

Desirable skills   •Familiarity with the Electricity Industry
•Regulatory, Financial and Operational Industry background
•Best practices in data management
•Strong data governance skills
•Knowledge and experience of using Informatica Axon and / or Microsoft Purview
•Knowledge and experience of using CKAN
