Position: Class 1 Container Driver

Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary Monday to Friday

Location: Southampton

Driver Hire Southampton is pleased to announce a new opportunity has arisen to join our driving team as a Class 1 container driver. Working with one of the leading container companies in the United Kingdom this is a great opportunity to work with one of the best in the South Coast. As a large container company, you would expect them to treat you as a number, but this is so far from the truth as they treat everyone with respect and integrity. Job Details for Class 1 Container:

• Monday – Friday
• Day shifts
• 06:00am start
• Can be up to 12-hour shifts
• Temporary work
• Tugging and shunting in the docks
• 10 hours pay guarantee
• Available for umbrella and PAYE drivers

Requirements for Class 1 Container:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (C+E)
• Valid CPC and Digi tacho card
• Ideally a clean licence, minor points accepted
• Ability to work independently
• At least 1 years’ experience in Class 1
• DP World licence (must be able to be used in Southampton)
