Step Teachers are currently looking for recent graduates for Cover Supervisor roles starting in September. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for flexible work, or even possibly a full-time role. 

We work with a variety of schools in and around Plymouth. The role of a Cover Supervisor will allow you to gain teaching experience in a variety of secondary schools and experience what it is like to be in front of a class. This is also a good way to build your confidence as a teacher and is a great route to gain experience before doing your teacher training.

Role:

• Cover lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
• Ensure the class are on target with the pre-set work
• Effectively manage the behaviour of the class
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work efficiently with any additional staff where applicable
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

• Completed undergraduate degree or higher
