The school 

• Based in Gateshead
• Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted
• Children are aged 3 to 11 years old
• Children have a wide range of complex needs including ASD, SLD and PMLD 

The role 

• Starting ASAP
• Full time Teaching Assistant  
• Some whole class and 1-2-1 support
• Supporting primary aged children with complex needs
• Motivate and challenge students to encourage confidence
• Support and manage any challenging behaviour that may arise 

You

• Will have a minimum of 3 months experience in a school
• Will hold a CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or higher/equivalent
• Will have previously supported children with complex needs such as ASD, SLD and PMLD
• Will be proficient in supporting children on a 1-2-1 basis
• Will be caring and compassionate
• Will be able to effectively manage/defuse challenging behaviour
