- Primary Teaching Assistant
- Full-time contracts and short-term supply options
- Primary Schools
- £70 - £90 per day
We are currently recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time and part-time basis in primary schools in Camden.
We have full-time and part-time Primary Teaching Assistant opportunities across all primary age groups (EYFS/KS1/KS2). As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children and teachers in a variety of ways.
In the early years (3 - 5) you will support children with play based learning, early reading and phonics and learning numbers and letters.
In the primary age groups (KS1/KS2), you will be based in a more structured classroom supporting children to access learning activities across English, Maths and various other subjects.
Most of the roles we have are for Primary Teaching Assistants to work with a specific child or children with special educational needs (SEN). This will involve building relationships with them, adjusting activities and helping them to focus in class and work with other children. Whilst an understanding of SEN is helpful, many of our teaching assistants gain experience on the job and with training and guidance from teachers and school leaders in their placements.
We are interested in applications from:
- Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a new full-time position
- Graduates who are considering becoming teachers
- Nursery staff or Nannies who are looking for term-time work
- Sports coaches
- Youth workers
You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children (don't worry if you haven't got one, we can help you get one) and 2 references covering the past two years.
Most importantly you need a caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children.
If you have the skills and experience and are keen to secure a Primary Teaching Assistant role, just press 'Apply Now' and one of our experienced consultants will be in touch to discuss the opportunities available.
We have a policy to respond to all applications within three working days. However, because of the volume of applications, we are sometimes unable to reply to individual enquiries. If we have not contacted you within this specified time your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
