Job Title: Quality Engineer  

Location: Redditch

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Type: Permanent, Start date ASAP

 

If you're looking for a new opportunity as a Quality Engineer, look no further! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to join our client who is a UK manufacturer mechanical and electrical parts for industrial application with an outstanding reputation.

 

Quality Engineer responsibilities

 

  • Being responsible for on-time and on-quality document control activities
  • Testing products and services to ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Defining document numbering systems, in compliance with any external customer requirements applicable to projects
  • Defining the review and sign-off process for documents
  • Accountability for documents being processed into sign-off and subsequently issued to the library, including the printing, and scanning of physical documents.
  • You will be responsible for producing a Configuration and Document Control Management (CADM) Plan as required by specified projects
  • To track of all historical configured documentation from product identifiers and its timely provision (if required by customers)
  • Support department cost reduction and improvement strategy and implementation
  • Periodic review of document control processes (including associated hardware and software) to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Support functional-level Quality Control documentation and monitoring within the department.
  • The role is responsible for the control of finalised software releases in a traceable and systematic manner (noting software is not released as a customer product)

 

Requirements for the successful Quality Engineer:

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methods (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and statistical software.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical/ Production Engineering or relevant work experience
