Job Description:
Special Needs Teacher
We are working with a ‘Good’ rated Primary School in Bexley that is looking for an experienced SEN teacher to join their diverse and supportive team. They are opening a new SLD unit to support children with severe learning and complex difficulties. You will be leading a class of primary-aged students with the support of a knowledgeable LSAs. Pupils in your class will have vision impairment, non-verbal difficulties, SLCN, and limited mobility. Having experience with PECs, BSL, and visual cue cards is highly desired.
School and role brief:
- “Good” Ofsted report
- Supportive SLT that champions staff well-being and CPD
- With the support of a LSA, you will be leading a cohort of 10 pupils with SEN
The successful SEN Teacher will have:
- QTS or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting SEN, ideally in a teaching environment
- Confidence in differentiating lessons
- A valid Enhanced DBS and access to references
