Lamonby recruitment have an exciting new role for a Building Surveyor to join our client a specialist building and land surveying Consultancy with a tremendous history that provides a wide range of surveying, valuation and related services to a wide array of projects such as; small domestic properties and churches to large industrial complexes, institutional buildings and schools.
The consultancy have a tremendous history and are based in Leicestershire, providing building and land surveying services to a wide range of clients from multi-national companies and institutions, through to small businesses and private individuals. Most projects will take place within an hour and a halves commute from their offices, but there is potential for work anywhere throughout the UK.
Building Surveyor Role
The successful building surveyor will have between 2 - 5 years’ experience and required to:
Undertake measured surveys and production of drawings
Prepare specification and tender documentation
Prepare and submit Applications for consent to Local Authority Planning and Building Control departments, Fire Officers, Licensing, Justices, Freeholders etc as applicable
Undertake and prepare Condition Surveys
Undertake and prepare Schedule of Dilapidations
Undertake Party Wall matters
Prepare cost estimate advice
Undertake and prepare Building Survey reports
Undertake the role as Expert Witness and Advocate
Undertake Residential Homebuyer reports & building surveys
Role Requirements and Qualifications
BSc (Hons) in Building surveying or other relevant qualification
2 - 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
Experienced undertaken Pre-acquisition building surveys, Homebuyer survey & valuations, Dilapidation administration, Preparation of Schedule of Condition and Design tender and contract procurement
