Job Description:

Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a full time Teaching Assistant in Radlett to work in Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2. The position is an ongoing long term supply role, intially until the end of term but with the potential to be extended into the new year. The school have said that they are looking for someone with previous SEN experience. 

This is a one-form entry religious Primary School that strives to offer high standard of education while instilling the values of respect and responsibility in every child. At their most recent inspection, Ofsted rated the school ‘Good’ and highlighted the supportive and caring learning environment.

Role:

  • Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students, on a whole class, small group and one to one basis, and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a primary school
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • SEND experience
