The Role

The school are looking for a highly skilled HLTA with experience of working with highly complex A.S.D./PMLD pupils. You will be supporting them developing their day to day and academic skills as well as their social emotional needs, in preparation for their transition to secondary education. You will have a timetable to provide interventions and cover classes across the school. As part of your role the school would ideally like to cover PE to complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities both in and out of school, under an agreed system of supervision that supports the teacher with learning outcomes.

The School 

This specialist primary school is for children aged 2 to 11 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD) and complex medical needs. The school provides an outstanding learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils, while empowering and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. There is an established and dedicated staff team at the school who are committed to supporting both the children and their families. You will have access to regular training and development opportunities within your role.
