Business Development Manager
Location – Coventry, West Midlands
Salary - £30,000 to £36,000 + Uncapped commission Structure (Realistic Year 1 OTE circa £38’000 - £50,000)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08.30 – 17.00 with an early finish on Fridays, 08.30 – 15.00.
Do you have a proven track record in B2B Sales? We have an opening for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our young, vibrant team here in Coventry. The company’s remit is global, and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves to travel, as it will include several international trips per year to the likes of Dubai and France, Germany and Cairo. The ability to travel is a MUST for this role.
The company, who sit within the promotional Industry, have gone through amazing growth within the last few years. This vacancy has become available due to an internal promotion. Progression within the company is something that the senior management team actively encourage here.
Day to Day Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
Reporting into the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager is responsible for sourcing, pitching, closing and account managing. The job will predominantly be phone based from our office, however face to face meetings are encouraged.

- You will create, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing clients over the phone, following up with emails.
- A database for the calls will be provided, which will help the sales cycle. We have a brilliant marketing strategy which is aimed at generating incoming enquiries to assist you in securing sales.
- You will work towards and reach set revenue targets which are set out by the managing director.
- Experience in the promotions/Marketing/Events industry would be extremely advantageous but isn’t essential.
- Minimum of 2-year business to business sales experience is essential for this role.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Commercial awareness
- Fluent English both spoken and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrate experience of both phone and face to face selling essential.
- Competitive Salary with an uncapped commission structure. You will have the ability to realistically double your basic salary.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
- On-site parking.
- Early Finish on Fridays. (Even earlier if targets are reached)
