The Systems Information Manager is a new role within our growing BIM team, reporting to our new BIM manager. You’ll be a key part of this team, ensuring the efficient and correct transfer of information from our BIM models to the wider Estates team.  

Part of this role is to collate and distribute building information to other HMRC project teams when changes to the estate are being developed. This is intended to coordinate the exchange of existing building information to these teams for design commission tasks to be carried out.  

You will also be responsible for the collection of new information post project completion and facilitating is handover back to the BIM Model Manager. This ensures that HMRC’s digital estate constantly aligns with our physical one.  
 
Training for this role will be provided and no previous BIM experience is required.

Job description

As our Systems Information Manager, you will coordinate the information exchange meetings both internally and externally prior to any project taking place. You will be required to make sure that HMRC project managers have all of the relevant building information such as floor plans and schedules before a project begins. 
 
Working alongside the BIM Model Manager, we want you to be a communication conduit between our BIM Models and the physical Estate and it will be critical that the existing information is used to develop any changes. 
 
As part of the Estates BIM team ensuring all wider estates teams have access to important building information such as: 

  • Floor plans  
  • Furniture plans  
  • OM Manuals  
  • Warranties  
  • Schedules of quantities  

It will be the Systems Information Managers responsibility to ensure that building information is readily available to HMRC estates staff 

Essential Criteria 

  • Demonstrable experience organising transfer of data/information  
  • Strong Microsoft office skills

Desirable Criteria 

  • Experience managing projects through to completion
