Job Description:
Orion are proud to be able to partner with our blue-sky thinking client located in the heart of Abingdon, Oxford. The Shift Laboratory Technician is a full time permanent vacancy and primed for either a recent Chemistry or Chemical Engineer graduate OR someone who has graduated in the last couple of years who has had some exposure in a Lab or Scientific role.
Our client hold a patented technology which massively contributes to the global effort of making certain industries significantly more environmentally sustainable & friendly. As a candidate your role will play a crucial part in our clients mission to keep evolving and bettering their product offering.
So you will play a crucial part of this companies journey by joining them on their next step - this business will train and develop you on the following areas;
- Analysis and Characterization of various materials using specific equipment (SEM, TGA, BET)
- Compiling data reports once you have run these tests
- Perform chemical reliability testing
- Execute chemical pre-experiment studies
- Work across their 24/7 operation - this means that you will work normal hours (i.e. 8am to 4:45pm) but on a shift rotation i.e. a working week could be Wednesday through to Sunday.
