Job Description:

Step Teachers is currently partnering with a Primary School in Cambridge to hire a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join their dynamic Primary School long-term starting ASAP.


SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Maintain a well-organized classroom with accessible resources as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members in the classroom and across the school.
  • Demonstrate the ability to support students and encourage their progression.
  • Willingly adhere to the school's policies and implement them effectively.


  • Essential recent experience working in a Primary school as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you would need a good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Possession of a recognized HLTA qualification and relevant experience for an HLTA role.
  • Consideration for applicants with a Level 2/3 certificate.
  • Desirable experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
