Wirer Hours:  Mon-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (Flexible)

This is an exciting opportunity for an Wirer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Horsham.

The role of the Wirer will include:

• Manufacture wiring looms and assemble connectors; route and fit complex wiring to enclosures and mechanical structures; perform soldering terminations.
• Assemble equipment accurately according to Engineering drawings.
• Inspect own work for electrical errors, ensuring compliance with drawings, best practices, and standards before passing to the next stage.
• Document and communicate changes/improvements during the build process to the Engineering team via change requests or P1 wiring process.
• Follow all procedures as specified in the Quality Manual.
• Communicate material shortages to production control and purchasing.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and organisation to agreed standards.
• Assist with tool calibration when required.

The Wirer should have the following skills and experience:

• Familiar with wiring standards required on military equipment desirable.
• Basic mechanical assembly skills desirable.
• Experience of terminating and splicing fibre optic assemblies a benefit.
• Able to work under own initiative.
• Occasional travel to customer premises may be required.
• Computer literate with experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• ​Highly focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Work independently of other staff when required.
