Location: Chelmsford

Starting: A.S.A.P.

Hours :Monday to Thursday 9.30 pm to 7am

Friday would be treated as overtime and is optional and only offered if the business needs it. – 5pm to 11pm (Fridays are classed as overtime)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing servicing the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by the global leader in the manufacture of acrylics, the distribution team is ideally placed to deliver excellence in supplying and supporting their customers. As part of its expansion the company is recruiting a Nightshift Warehouse operative for their distribution centre in Chelmsford; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerous other benefits.

THE ROLE

You will be involved in:•

Receiving and dispatching goods•

Picking and loading customer orders•

Stock control•

Quality checks•

Following company policies and procedures to ensure a high level of safety at all times•

Ensuring all stock is correctly unloaded, checked and stored in the correct locations.

THE CANDIDATE:

You will have the following key skills:•

Experience in a busy, high pick value warehouse•

Knowledge of Schelling cutting saws (CNC machinery) would be ideal although not essential as full training will be given.•

Fork lift experience essential•

Good communication skills•

Excellent H&S knowledge

There will be no working weekends with this position and there is a shutdown over the Christmas period. The night shift is 9.30 to 7am Monday to Thursday and Fridays are classed as overtime and the hours are 5pm to 11pm.  Fridays are optional and only offered if the business needs it.
