Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer 

Location: Mainly Rugeley, occasional travel to Fradley to cover holidays
Salary: £44,216 + Overtime (1.5x Saturdays, 2x Sundays)
Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible 8-hour shifts with core hours between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team, with a strong emphasis on electrical skills. You will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our production lines. The ideal candidate will be 50/50 split between electrical and mechanical skills, with a background in industries such as food, feed, beverage, automotive, or FMCG.

Key Responsibilities for this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:

- Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance (PPM) using our CMMS system
- Assist with electrical installations and equipment upgrades as required
- Support the site’s operational excellence through a proactive and hands-on approach
- Work on a flexible shift pattern, with occasional overtime and holiday cover
- Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring minimal downtime of equipment

Skills & Qualifications required for this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:

- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
- Multi-skilled background, ideally 50/50 mechanical and electrical
- Industry experience in food, feed, beverage, automotive, or volume manufacturing
- Previous experience with PPM and CMMS systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive mindset towards continuous improvement
