Product Coordinator, creative brand

We have a great opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to join this creative and successful brands’ Product team. This creative company designs and develops all its products from scratch, supplying fun, trend-driven items to leading retailers worldwide.
As Product Coordinator you will coordinate the repeat and refreshed product lines and made to order product for the business, negotiating with their global supplier base, and ensuring everything is produced and to spec and in line with agreed dates. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone with a love of product who is looking to work with great team as part of a successful global business.
Duties for this Product Coordinator position include:
- Identify and implement improvements on existing product lines
- Create and maintain critical paths tailored to customer and business requirements, allocating optimum resources
- Negotiate product costs with suppliers to hit optimum price and maximise margins
- Work with Production Coordinators to select the best factories to use for specific product lines
- Brief in artwork changes to the design team, and action artwork updates
- Sign-off artwork before the final upload to the factories
- Coordinate, check and approve samples, components, and cutter guides
- Work closely with account managers, product developers, and logistics teams to resolve any product issues
- Work with the sourcing team and suppliers to find sustainable solutions that meet customer requirements, implementing improvements wherever needed
- Update and approve specification sheets and maintain accurate product data
- Attend weekly production team meetings to help ensure consistency in the process
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within a product coordination, production, buying, supply chain, or operations role
- Experience working with overseas suppliers and with product portals a distinct advantage
- Working knowledge of the production lifecycle including critical path creation and management
- Experience managing critical paths for 50+ SKUs in one season
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fantastic organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Positive, proactive approach with the ability to build successful relationships across departments
- A love of product and a commitment to working with a great team and business.
