A welcoming primary school in New Cross are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant on a mornings only contract for the academic year.  The role

In this role, you will be working 1:1 with a pupil who has autism and will need speech and language support. The child is in year 3 and attending school in the mornings so will require help to integrate in to lessons with their peers and access some learning alongside specialised learning. 

 

The child needs a committed and kind SEN Teaching Assistant to support all round development. You will work alongside teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies and the family to enable the pupil to make progress.

The school is based in a vibrant area of New Cross. There is a strong community feel and the school is well supported by parents. The school has a Christian ethos which is celebrated and incorporated in to the daily life of the school.

To apply for this role you must have:

  • Good experience working with SEN pupils, ideally supporting ASD needs
  • Be able to demonstrate a good level of initiative and a hands-on approach
