My client is the leading provider of systems to enhance the operation of electron microscopes.
They supplies a wide range of products and software for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Sample Preparation. Full details are available at www.gatan.com. Within Europe, three sales offices (Germany, UK, and France) are responsible for sales and support of the full range of Company products, both directly to end users and with sales partners such as distributors and Electron Microscope Manufacturers (EMMs). my Client is seeking an experienced sales person, ideally with experience in electron microscopy as a user and/or in a sales role. Essential Skills And Responsibilities
• Direct Sales of all Company products in a defined territory / account base within the UK & Ireland.
• Support for Indirect Sales (EMM channels) in UK & Ireland
• Occasional involvement (Sales Support) with Indirect Sales (Distributor and EMM channels) in Scandinavia, South Africa and Israel. • Organizing demonstrations (supported by specialist staff), attending workshops, exhibitions and meetings. • Working within the Company CRM system Qualifications • Experienced sales person, with at least three years experience working in a scientific instruments industry • Either has, or can quickly gain, a good working knowledge of TEM and SEM and high technology attachments such as cameras and analytical systems. • Graduate (or equivalent experience) in a science or engineering discipline. • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively promote my client, its customers, and to represent the interests of the customers within Companies Extensive travel within UK & Ireland, and occasionally to the distributer territories and to my client's facilities and meetings/exhibitions in Europe and USA is required.
A driving licence is required
