Job Description:

General Caretaking duties including opening multi sites with complex alarm systems.

  • Escorting visitors and contractors around sites.
  • Health and safety, maintenance of buildings and grounds including painting, carpet cleaning,

high intensity cleaning, chemically sealing floors, reactive safety actions such as making safe

areas where vandalism/damage has occurred including window boarding.

  • Stock control, stock distribution, ensuring all paperwork was up to date and procedures were

adhered to.

  • CRB checked, setting up exhibition/event/exam/canteen areas and breaking down afterwards,

floor polishing/buffing, check fire extinguishers and suppression systems are working, pool

maintenance.

  • I also attended many courses to allow me to carry out the above task

Senior Construction Manager needed in Bristol £435per day ref 5258464

Full time hours on a temporary basis

This is a construction project management role.  Hybrid working role with regular attendance on site in Bristol likely needed due to the construction-focused nature of the work.

In terms of the specific assignment, the successful candidate will particularly be able to demonstrate:

  • Development and management of construction projects
  • Significant experience of options appraisal and business case development
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement, including preparing tender and contract documents, and securing and delivering Social Value outcomes.
  • Ability to control budgets relating to allocated projects and achieve financial targets set out. This includes forecasting, monitoring, authorising, reviewing and controlling expenditure. As required perform commercial risk analysis, and value management activities and reporting.
  • Experience and understanding of standard forms of construction contracts, including NEC and JCT, and Professional Service Contracts for consultant teams.
  • Experience in managing and securing relevant statutory, regulatory third-party and other approvals
  • Knowledge of health and safety law, duties, and responsibilities in a construction setting. Competence to fulfil Client duties under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.
  • The postholder will need to be flexible with regards to travel to and around Bristol as required to support successful achievement of the outcomes for this phase of the project
