Tool Maker

Orion are working with a heavy industrial manufacturing company who are looking for an experienced, hands-on Tool Maker to join their busy team.  

Tool Maker Responsibilities:

• • Maintaining Die & Trim tool condition for Production
  • Supporting production
  • Continuous improvement in tooling
  • Maintenance and production of fixtures
  • Fault finding in compact machinery and spaces

Tool Maker Required Experience:

• Manual Turning, Milling, Grinding, Bench Fitting
• Stripping/Assembling f dies and trimtools
• Previous experience working in a tool room environment
• Strong communication skills required
• Problem solving on dies

Tool Maker Qualifications:

• Apprentice trained
• Tool making – manual machining skillset/background

Tool Maker Package:

• Competitive Salary £33,000 - £38,000 DOE
• 26 days holiday Bank Holidays
• PM Shift allowance 16% (£2,640 per annum)
• Attendance Allowance £1000 per year
• Death in service
• Pension contribution

Tool Maker Shifts:

AM/ PM Rotating Double Days 6am – 2pm – 2pm – 10pm (rotating weekly)
