We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a lovely primary school in Brent in their reception class supporting pupils with autism.

The Role

In this role you will be based in the reception class within the school supporting pupils with autism. There has been a larger than average intake of pupils with Special Educational Needs and therefore the school are looking for an additional SEN Teaching Assistant to focus supporting these pupils. Your role will be a combination of some 1 to 1 support as well as leading small groups and supporting the children with additional needs to integrate and access play-based learning. You will work alongside teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies and the family to ensure the children have the support they require. 

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous experience in early years and an understanding of supporting children with SEND.
