Birmingham.
Up to £55,000 per annum DOE.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading supplier of metals, as a Continuous Improvement Lead. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the operations, driving excellence across the site through innovation, leadership, and lean thinking.

You will be responsible for developing and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the plant. You will work cross-functionally with teams throughout the site to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and coach employees in lean tools and methodologies to drive sustainable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment of our client’s production system, including performance metrics and process standards.
  • Develop and execute the site-wide improvement plan, aligning with the company’s One Plan strategy.
  • Lead and manage improvement projects focused on materials, yield, rework reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancements.
  • Use Lean / Six Sigma tools to solve problems and eliminate waste.
  • Coach and mentor employees at all levels to build capability in continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the 6S program, ensuring adherence to PCC standards and developing plans to drive improvement in all areas.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives including OEE monitoring, digital audits, and online training platforms.
  • Organise and facilitate Kaizen events, improvement workshops, and problem-solving sessions.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Lean Sigma Black Belt accreditation (or working toward it).
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools and data-driven problem-solving methods (DMAIC, 8D, 5 Whys).
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
