• About the Role

  We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Officer to support the delivery of housing adaptations and grant-funded improvements. This role plays a key part in helping individuals live safely and independently in their homes by ensuring that property adaptations are appropriate, cost-effective, and completed to a high standard.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct property surveys and joint visits with Occupational Health professionals to assess needs for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and other housing assistance.
  • Prepare detailed, accurately measured schedules of work and small-scale technical drawings to support competitive contractor quotations.
  • Assess eligible expenses using approved Schedules of Rates and contractor estimates.
  • Monitor works on-site, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications during and after completion.
  • Quantify completed and additional works, recommending variations within grant limits and escalating where necessary.
