Do you have a nurturing, patient nature and a passion for supporting young children as they take their first steps in education? We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Teaching Assistant to join an Early Years team. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as an Early Years Teacher:

 

  • Support the class teacher and Early Years staff in delivering a stimulating, play-based curriculum.

  • Help create a warm, safe and engaging environment where every child feels valued and secure.

  • Assist with children’s social, emotional and physical development.

  • Support with toileting, personal care and meal/snack times as needed.

  • Observe and record children’s progress in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents/carers.

Ideal Early Years Teacher:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education) – essential.

  • Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.

  • A kind, calm, and responsive approach to supporting young learners.

  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.

  • A good team player who is flexible, reliable and enthusiastic.
