A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive learning environment.

  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning, including in literacy, numeracy and phonics.

  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and the organisation of displays.

  • Support children’s emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

  • Provide targeted help for pupils with additional needs, where appropriate.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Have experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.

  • Be enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting children's learning and progress.

  • Communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Show flexibility and initiative while working as part of a team.

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or be working towards one).
