Principal Lawyer (Hybrid) - Children and Adults Social care needed in Exeter, £54.31ph PAYE - Reference: 5278538

The successful candidate will need to be in Devon twice a week.

• Principal Lawyer to lead a specialist legal team, with a particular focus on Childcare Law.
• This role is central to safeguarding the legal integrity in one of its most sensitive and high-impact areas of work.
• The legal service is currently undergoing a period of structural change, and this role will be key in providing stability, leadership, and direction during a time of transition.
• The successful candidate will guide their team through complex and high-profile cases.
• While the job description is generic in terms of the areas of law covered, the primary specialisms for this post will be Childcare Law, with Adult Social Care Law as a secondary area of focus.
• Experience in related areas will be beneficial, particularly where legal issues intersect across services.
• The postholder will be expected to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and resilience, ensuring the legal position is robust and its reputation upheld.
