Senior Policy Planner needed in Brentwood

The rate is £37.70ph PAYE

The successful candidate will provide specialist support across a range of complex and high-priority strategic planning projects. The role requires a high level of autonomy, technical expertise, and coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and effective engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the involvement of Examination in Public
• Represent at hearing sessions
• Prepare formal written submissions for appointed inspectors
• Provide regular updates to senior officers and elected members.
• Coordinate the response to consented scheme
• Review and provide feedback on key documents, including those linked to the S106 agreement
• Oversee policy development and ensure alignment with legal and planning
• Provide input into ongoing planning applications involving Gypsy and Traveller communities.
