Bid Writer – Social Housing (Planned Works) – Kent
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Office-based, 5 days per week

We are seeking a talented Bid Writer to join a leading contractor specialising in planned works within the social housing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled writer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality, persuasive bids that help secure new business.

Role of the Bid Writer:
  • Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality bids and tender documents.

  • Write clear, engaging, and tailored responses that align with client requirements and company objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with operational, commercial, and technical teams to gather information and develop compelling bid content.

  • Maintain consistency, compliance, and attention to detail across all submissions.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of bid materials, templates, and processes.

  • Keep up to date with developments in the social housing sector.

Bid Writer Requirements:
  • Proven experience writing bids or tenders within the construction or social housing sectors.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English.

  • Ability to translate technical information into persuasive, client-focused responses.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

This is a full-time, office-based position (Monday to Friday) offering stability, a supportive environment, and the chance to play a key role in the ongoing success of a respected contractor.
