History Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role from January 2026This secondary school offers a calm and inclusive learning environment where pupils are well-supported and encouraged to achieve their best. - Plan and deliver engaging history lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations, including GCSE History
- Promote historical enquiry, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Use a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and resources
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school initiatives
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching history in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for history education
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a History Teacher
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community
