Food Safety Officer needed in Truro Paying  £55 per inspection ref 5280271

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Food Safety Officer to support our Environmental Health team in delivering statutory food hygiene inspections. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out approximately 250 D-rated food hygiene inspections of food businesses across the borough.

• Conduct official food hygiene inspections in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.
• Complete inspection reports and risk assessments using the local authority’s database system.
• Provide advice and guidance to food business operators to ensure compliance with food safety legislation.
• Identify and escalate any serious breaches or enforcement issues.
• Submit accurate and timely documentation following each inspection.
