English Teacher – Long Term Temporary and ongoing, part time from as soon as possible
This English Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a secondary setting supporting pupils. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where teaching is adapted to support engagement, confidence, and progress. This role would suit an English Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and skilled in delivering meaningful English lessons to pupils with additional needs.Duties as English Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach core English skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
• Create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Use positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies consistently
• Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to support individual development
• Work collaboratively with support staff
• Contribute to pupils’ academic development
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status or QTLS
• Strong background in delivering English at secondary level
• Confidence adapting English teaching
• Calm, resilient, and reflective teaching approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
