SEND Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role from asap
This specialist school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where pupils with additional needs are placed at the centre of learning. Staff work collaboratively to create calm, structured, and inclusive classrooms that support both academic progress and personal development. A strong focus is placed on consistency, positive relationships, and tailored support to help pupils thrive.This is a full-time, long-term, temporary and ongoing SEND Teacher role starting in September 2026.Duties as SEND Teacher:
  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with SEND
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning, communication, and behavioural needs
  • Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Implement individual education plans and personalised learning strategies
  • Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Contribute positively to wider school life and multi-disciplinary working
Ideal SEND Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND in specialist or mainstream settings
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
  • Confident behaviour management and emotional regulation skills
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Flexible and adaptable to individual pupil needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
