Product Manager – Battery Energy Storage System
Salary- £60 – 69,000 DOE + Excellent Commission
Our client is a leading demand response aggregator who are currently looking to expand with the addition of a Product Manager – BESS.
Our client are a company dedicated to clean energy use, DER management, battery
energy storage, energy management opportunities and ancillary energy services, deploying
intelligent energy solutions in the UK and internationally
You will be working alongside a bustling and vibrant team and will possess a strong background in the energy industry and in product management. Required to own the product, as well as to guide the product to increasing competitive advantage to support the global expansion of license takers/partners of the product.

Role & Requirements:
The BESS Management Product is part of the Power’s suite of “Platform-as-a-Service” (PaaS)
products which are all built on its common world-leading cloud-software and hardware platform.
The product manager’s main responsibilities are the definition and continuous development of the
BESS Management Product (based on market/customer inputs), product marketing, sales support
and commercial leadership for the product. A hands-on innovative operator with a track record of
forging successful business relationships, the role holder will be expected to support the rapid
geographic expansion of this business together with existing and new local partners, closely working
with the Sales and Technology functions.
Outwardly, the role requires early involvement in marketplace discussions, both to consult on the
current and future capabilities of the client and to understand the ultimate incentives of external
parties in that marketplace.
Internally, the Product Owner should influence the decisions of the Senior Management Team as
they prioritise high-level requirements and programmes of work. They should seek opportunities to
deliver features in line with their product vision as other pieces of work are built.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international energy markets and has a track
record in defining, developing and rolling-out PaaS based products. Commercial experience as well
as sales support is a requirement for the role. Understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems,
ancillary services and wholesale trading markets and programmes is a strong plus. An ability to think
strategically and direct the business accordingly is also required.
Representing the business internally as well as externally (conferences, presentations, investors etc)
is another key part of the role.
This position requires an experienced individual with strong leadership, interpersonal and
presentation skills and will involve international travel.
