THE ROLE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
As a business development manager, you will look to cultivate relationships with the customer base across the industrial sector. With the opportunity to spread your wings and get involved in a huge range of customers of all shapes and sizes from a variety of sectors including engineering, manufacturing, oil, gas, food, packaging and many more!
Dealing at all different levels within organisations an adaptive approach will be required, as you could be working on long term deals with larger clients alongside quick deals with smaller businesses.
Offering a fantastic range of high quality of products and an unbeatable service proposition you will have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop existing accounts while at the same time, have the whole of Scotland it’s industrial marketplace to develop new ones.
This role would ideally suit someone that is looking for a position where they can manage their own diary and plan and have the trust to grow their sector for the long term.
EXPERIENCE IDEALLY REQUIRED FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
It is crucial to have a good working knowledge of oils and lubricants. Alongside this, experience of selling into the industrial marketplace would be ideal as it can be a steep learning curve, if you’ve not been involved with it before.
Working in a close-knit Scottish team, you will need to be comfortable both working on your initiative while also supporting the wider team when required. A humble approach is key, knowing that no customer is too big or too small to deal with.
