Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer to join our client based in Reading on a 3 month contract basis

Job description:

  • We are looking for an experienced 1st line helpdesk engineer (minimum 9 -12 months experience in IT Support)
  • The role will include the need to identify and prioritize each job together with the ability to troubleshoot using detailed technical procedures.
  • Applicants will be expected to be smart and presentable with good communication skills both on the phone and in person

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Candidates will need to have experience with some if not most of the following Windows 7 / Win 8 / Win 10, Antivirus, Backup, Exchange / Office 365, Server 2008, 2012R2, Active Directory etc.  Though further training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of the following would be advantageous - routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s, TCP/IP, networking and troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft and Network qualifications are also desirable
  • Experience of supporting customers by telephone / remotely
  • Well-developed problem solving skills 

This opportunity will initially be a 3 month contract with high likelihood of extension. A rate of £12-£15 p/h is available.
