We are thrilled to be recruiting an Audit Semi-Senior for our well established and successful client, based in Macclesfield. This general practice offers a range of services including audit and accountancy services and they are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their busy and growing team.

Perhaps you have dealt with a small amount of audit work within a wider accounting role and would like to develop your knowledge and expertise in this area?  Or you may have experience of handling smaller aspects of the auditing process for large organisations and crave to be involved with the whole job?

Details of the Audit Semi-Senior position:

 

  • Salary in the region of £ 18,000 to 24,000 per annum dependent on experience and study package requirement.
  • 25 days holidays + bank holidays
  • Auto-enrolment into pension scheme (after 3 months service)
  • Death in service 4 x salary (after 3 month’s service)
  • Hours: 36 ¼ hours per week – core hours are 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday, office is open between 8:30am – 5:30pm

 

Key responsibilities within the Audit Semi-Senior role:
  • Your role will comprise of a mixture of of audit work (approximately 65%) and accounts preparation (35%) for varying size businesses
  • Being involved with the whole auditing process from start to finish
  • Conducting audit work both at client premises and within the Macclesfield office – clients are mainly based within the North-West.
 Skills, attributes and experience required for the Audit Semi-Senior position:

 

  • You will ideally be AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Have a genuine inquisitive mind and interest in audit work
  • You will need to have an accurate and methodical approach to work
  • Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice and ideally have a driving licence as some audits will require travel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
