Assistant Manager

Our client, a food manufacturer of high-quality products & who command a prominent position in their specialist area have an opportunity for an ambitious, motivated Assistant Manager to join their Food Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will work diligently & methodically to maximise profitability through efficient working practices and staff training and development.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring staff are assessed, trained and developed to their maximum potential
• Motivation of staff through effective communication
• Carrying out staff disciplinaries when necessary
• Implementing HACCP standards
• Ensure production is carried out in compliance with food safety legislation
• Minimise customer complaints through good production controls
• Effective implementation of Company Health and Safety Policies
• Adhere to administrative procedures where these impact on production functions
• Carry out production planning to maximise efficiency
• Identify and implement improvements through introduction of equipment/machinery, procedures and working practices.
• Implementing hygiene standards that comply with all Company rules and relevant legislation.

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator at all levels and with proven ability to lead with authority while maintaining good relations with colleagues.

You must have a proactive approach to problem solving and be organised and thorough in every task you undertake.

Ideally you will have experience gained from a Management position in a food manufacturing environment.

Working Hours:

Typically, 6:00am – 3:30pm 5 days per week, although some flexibility around these times is required.

Salary:

22,777/annum
