Job Description:

Full-time, 35 hours per week, contract role to start ASAP until 17-09-17 with a possible extension.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Post qualification experience of servicing/repair and inspection of domestic gas appliances; and/or 2 years experience of working within a 3-star Gas Maintenance Contract.

City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and have ACS Qualifications.

CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, Wat1, CHR1, CPA1.

Current valid driving licence (maximum 6 points).

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION

To service, repair, maintain, fault find and install domestic heating systems and gas appliances in Client owned properties, in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and guidance.

To undertake work as directed in a safe manner to the correct quality and in a reasonable time. Regular monitoring of first time fix and call back rates will be in place to ensure standards and service levels are maintained.

The Gas Engineer shall be sufficiently competent to carry out all general gas works to domestic housing and flats, completing landlords certificates, be competent in fault diagnostics and repair of modern and traditional boilers and be able to carry out repairs to heating systems.

To document and record details of job progression and completion inclusion of the use of SOR’s schedule of rates (via PDA) in a timely manner.

To hold a full clean driving licence and be prepared to work in the field at various locations within Islington. In addition the post holder will be required to enter resident’s premises to carry out repairs/servicing/installation works.

To liaise with suppliers, other trades operatives and other Client departments to aid job completion.
