Job Description:

Rapidly expanding FMCG food business seek to enhance their team. The requirement is for an experienced analyst with excellent communication skills, to work as a business partner to non-finance management teams.

The purpose of this role is to provide insight, analysis and challenge to our customer brand and operations teams to enable better decision-making.

Deliver financial analysis and reporting:

  • Undertake business modelling and evaluation of potential value enhancing growth opportunities
  • Apply best practice financial evaluation and scenario-building methodologies to address business issues
  • Deliver accurate customer and species performance scorecards and profitability analysis
  • Ensure underlying assumptions behind product costings are revised appropriately, for existing and future new product development SKUs
  • Review operational efficiency and factory line performance in collaboration with factory team, supporting lean and continuous improvement
  • Provide stock management support to customers and operations, ensuring stock is appropriately held and monitored
  • Improve cash and working capital awareness, processes and controls within the business, including forecasting cash needs by customer and species and ensuring appropriate funding
  • Deliver high quality decision support to key business customers
  • Meet customer priorities and deadlines within mutually agreed timelines with high quality output

 

Build strong cross-functional relationships to:

 

  • Provide a credible commercial conscience to the business, holding teams to account to deliver plans
  • Collaborate across finance business partners to share learnings and develop capabilities

 

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate experience in a similar fast-paced environment or role, as well as the following:

Essential

  • Recognised accountancy qualification, part or fully qualified
  • Experience of manufacturing with raw material stock holdings
  • Strong Excel experience with flexible approach to scenario modelling
  • Experience of rapid growth useful
  • Experience of improving existing systems and processes an advantage
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills and style
  • Self manager / self starter able to work without constant supervision essential
