Profectus Recruitment are working in connection with an established organisation based in Petersfield who are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join their growing team.

Main Requirements:

• Create, maintain and test big data applications using Apache Kafka streams, Spark, Hive and Apache Druid. 
• Combine solutions with current web and non-web merchandise
• Collect and clarify requirements from subject matter experts and contributors
• Be able to create design specifications and documentation to support development

General Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of developing apps for big data platforms
• Does know the latest big data technologies, especially data stream processing
• Bachelor degree with specialist development qualifications are also more than welcome to apply
• Team player with a strong communication language
• Self-motivated
• With plenty of ideas and always with a decision on upcoming issues

Qualifications:

• Computer Science / Information Technology (or related) degree and/or HND
• Specific big data development modules and course certifications an advantage

Required skills:

• Must-have : Apache Kafka, Kafka streams, Scala
• Highly Desirable: Apache Druid, Apache Hadoop (Hive, HDFS), SparkSQL, Java
