Our client is an international prestigious profit for purpose environmental and social impact company known worldwide for their role in helping organisations offset residual carbon emissions. A rare opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to join our client’s Portfolio team as a Carbon Portfolio Analyst.

This role will provide support to the Portfolio Team and underpin the transactions and trading within the department. The team is sitting in between the carbon supply market of projects and the client teams and the wholesale clients.

You will be joining an organisation who have more than 20 years’ experience as leader in the global markets and climate change sector. They work with major public and private sector clients to fund sustainable development projects that reduce carbon emissions at scale, measurably increase quality of life and deliver towards the UN Global Goals.

 

Role description

  • The Portfolio Analyst will support the Portfolio Managers in all their functions, with a particular focus on managing sales fulfilment, improving processes for control and efficiency, providing analytical and administrative assistance and collating and generating project information.
  • It’s an interesting and dynamic position for a quick-thinking person with good skills in supporting transactions, managing information, client portfolios and interacting with wholesale market.
  • You will support in the pricing of proposals for all client options and portfolios, weighing up specific client portfolio and financial requirements with supplier and supply conditions, market trends.
  • You will provide the team with market pricing and trends reporting manipulating data into a digestible format.
  • It requires ability to manage and keep up to date the flow of all project information requested by the wider teams.
  • A proven track record of providing administrative and analytical support on the fulfilment of all transactions, supply side contracts and wholesale sell side deals from onboarding, KYC, contracting and trade documentation to registry management and delivery and retirement of credits.

 

About you

  • Degree or ideally masters educated in a scientific or numerate subject, Mathematics, Physics, Finance.
  • At least one years’ experience working in a trading environment, in an analytical or support capacity
  • An eye for detail and highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage high workflow to meet deadlines to deliver results in a pressured environment
  • A team player and able to adapt to the needs of the team
  • Excellent communication skills
