Our Client is an established, expanding company which has a strong reputation for delivering Energy & Process Improvements and wider sustainability solutions, services and products. As an ambitious organisation with a wealth of engineering expertise in energy, water and product waste efficiency solutions for industry they have established a solid platform for growth. They are now looking to bring on a Software Developer to take ownership of all analytical and technical work for the company and lead on bespoke web and application development for customers.

They have have an in-house database that holds large quantities of Energy Usage data. The successful candidate would be responsible for taking ownership of the management of this database and using their technical and analytical skills, develop and manipulate the data into bespoke dashboards and applications for clients and consultants to enhance the service offering. This role will involve working closely with the team as well as the Directors to support the development of new business.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and maintaining complex web apps and delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of the web applications and tools
• Make sure that their web applications stay ahead of the technology curve
• Drive best in class test and deployment automation
• Maintain a good awareness of the current technology landscape and communicate recommendations to the business
• Design and develop reliable interfaces between their Database and the clients.
• Create and develop dashboards summarizing the high level and detailed analysis within reporting data
• Lead on in-house database management and improve the quality of data across the platform.
• Creation of bespoke reports and presentations for clients, bids and tenders
• Analytical support to consultants on consultancy projects
• Automate data management processes to support management of client’s assets

Requirements

• Strong academic qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Proven experience building applications
• Outstanding HTML/CSS/Javascript skills
• An eye for design and passion for exceptional user experiences
• Web / app Development experience
• Automation experience
• Presentation skills
• Energy industry experience
