Job Description:

Our Client is a highly reputable Luxury Retailer servicing high end high street brands, seven star hotels, Michelin star restaurants and mainstream supermarket brands. Today they operate offices in New York, Dubai, India, London and have offices spread across Western and Eastern Europe including Switzerland. Growing rapidly having won over 100 awards since inception including product innovation and design. They are currently looking to appoint a Financial Controller based out of their Central London Head office

Reporting to the Board, principle duties include

  • Overseeing day to day operations in Finance
  • Lead FP&A activities including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range
  • planning
  • Building and updating cash-flow forecasts for short and medium-term coverage across
  • multiple currencies and inter-company income flows
  • Developing and overseeing month-end routines and board packs in accordance with IFRS
  • Ensuring efficient cash collection in all markets to minimise working capital
  • Ensuring accurate, consistent and relevant data flow around the business
  • Production of consolidated monthly management accounts for UK and international
  • entities
  • Liaising with external Accountants and External Auditors
  • Overseeing accounting, reporting and regulatory compliance for all companies for
  • operations in the UK, Europe and India
  • Ensuring tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax and foreign taxes
  • Generally developing stronger accounting systems, policies, processes and controls.

Person Specification

  • ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant with a proven history of delivering results
  • Experience accounting for foreign currencies and working internationally
  • Experience developing internal processes and controls within Finance
  • Experience in a wholesale and retail product based business
  • Ability to effectively translate financial information to non-Finance members, build relationships and influence others
  • Positive and flexible “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to operate in a continually changing environment and at a high level of workload
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Excel
  • Business process review and improvement skills
