Our client is a market leader known for their delivering deep insights and cutting-edge solutions in the field of real-time air quality monitoring/mapping, as well as predictive analytics/forecasting. Due to the company’s success since launch, they now require a Senior Air Quality Modeller to take ownership of the development of new, innovative modelling capabilities, as well as supporting the company’s current modelling activities.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of air quality modelling products and services, with scales ranging from city-wide to global
• Lead comparison of the company’s modelling approaches with traditional industry tools (e.g. ADMS)
• Develop new techniques for efficient air quality modelling
• Gather/curate new data sets (including satellite-derived products and open source solutions) which inform pollutant emission rates worldwide
• Automate the delivery of air quality services, ensuring a secure and resilient IT structure

Requirements

• Strong track record of (and interest in) air quality modelling
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Technical mind, with capacity to program (or ability to learn such skills effectively)
• Knowledge of AWS and data analytics
