Job Description:

The role

As an Account Manager, you will meet or exceed sales objectives within your North-West territory. You will be responsible for a portfolio of existing firms, ensuring repeat business by relationship building, up selling, face-to-face meetings, and close liaison over the telephone.

You are also responsible for growing your portfolio with new business. You will be calling organisations, arranging meetings, building relationships, selling the benefits of the database, negotiating, and closing deals. 

A high percentage of your clients will be commercial-property professionals, so somebody who is a general practice surveyor will find it easy to build rapport, and have a true understanding of their clients’ needs.

Key Tasks

As an account manager in the North West, you will:

  • Grow your territory, retaining and developing your existing clients, and bringing in new ones
  • Achieve maximum revenue within your territory
  • Take full responsibility for all client demonstrations and education on the database
  • Be responsible for prospecting, proposing, and closing deals to new and existing clients
  • Support clients throughout the relationship, ensuring client loyalty

The candidate

You will:

  • Be a general practice surveyor, or have a strong background within commercial property in a similar position
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Have experience of achieving targets and building successful long-term relationships with clients
  • Be a confident communicator who enjoys meeting new people and has experience of networking within the property sector
  • Hold superior negotiation skills

The benefits

The following benefits package is available to the successful account manager, with a salary of £32,500 basic, plus a £6,000 car allowance and uncapped on-target earnings (OTE) (estimated £60,000 OTE in first year, increasing to over £100,000 for top performers).
