Climate17 are delighted to be supporting our Client who are one of the UK’s leading energy consultancies. They provide specialist expertise in horticulture and agriculture and work with utilities companies, manufacturers and public bodies as well as industry organisations.   

They need to add some expertise to their existing team and would like an energy engineer to deliver on energy related projects, ranging from heat generation, fuel sustainability and compliance.

Experience in agriculture would be desirable but not necessary.

Skills

• Familiarity with energy efficiency principals or carbon reduction
• Exposure to sustainability compliance methodologies such as ESOS, CCA and SECR
• Exposure to UK energy generation incentive schemes such as RHI, ROC and FIT
• Experience of assessing the condition and efficiency of building services, industrial processes and other relevant energy consuming activities
• A degree level qualification in a relevant STEM subject, with experience of applying technical knowhow in a commercial setting
• Knowledge of biomass energy and its application
• Experience of managing people or teams working on common projects
• Ability/experience of managing multi-faceted projects

Responsibilities

• Undertaking renewable energy plant inspections, audits and reporting
• Preparing technical & non-technical reports
• Undertaking technical due diligence, such as heat load calculations, energy use estimations and project costings
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Identifying and developing new sales opportunities, from existing clients and prospects.
